Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Sanford Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may receive routine server-log details such as IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Site Data Is Used
We use the limited information described here to operate the site, diagnose issues, measure overall traffic, and improve its content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Other Sites and Services
Links from this site may open county or state records portals, library collections, archives, or outside search tools. Their own privacy terms apply to information submitted after leaving Sanford Residents Directory. Sponsored search results are supplied by a third party and are subject to that provider's practices.
Who Can Process Data
Hosting and support providers may process routine logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or as otherwise permitted by law.
Safeguarding Information
The site uses an encrypted connection, and operational logs are retained only for as long as needed for the purposes described here. Because visitors do not create accounts, there is no site password or profile to expose.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so we can remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on governing law, a visitor may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a website keeps. Research for North Carolina did not identify a specific general consumer-privacy statute to cite here. Because we retain very little, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox or operational logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by North Carolina, Lee County, or City of Sanford custodians remain outside our control, and requests about those records belong with the original custodian. Their disclosure and confidentiality rules include the North Carolina Public Records Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 132, G.S. 130A-93 for vital records, G.S. 163-82.10 for voter data, and the Address Confidentiality Program in Chapter 15C.
